Graphite Ferrules (GC)
Column IDs corresponding to most fused silica capillary columns. Conditioned ferrules have a lower bleed, providing lower background signals.
For blind plugging the system, for example during leak-checks, there is no need for a special hole-less ferrule. The graphite ferrules can be used for blind plugging if the metal pin inside is not removed.
Graphite ferrules are soft and easy to use, help maintain a leak-free GC system and prevent column damage due to overtightening. Because they can be used up to 450 °C, they are ideal for high temperature applications.
